I really liked Brian Merchant’s recent post on the neo-luddite movement. He not only gets into the historical context of why skilled textile workers wanted to destroy the machines that automated their craft with poor substitutes that put them out of work but also gets into the current day movements against reckless generative AI companies recreating the same dynamics.
